"Kopeika". About her many anecdotes, stories. It has withdrawn many Soviet films. It is worthwhile. Even now it is a cult car of many generations, despite almost forty years.
In 1966, at the Geneva Motor Show debut small vehicle - FIAT-124 small class. Despite modern times for the design, its construction was somewhat outdated, inadequate brakes and suspension and, most importantly, the engine with OHV valvetrain. But it is this model FIAT soviet authority chose a popular car and gave the job designers rebuilt it in line with modern technology. As a result, the car was more powerful engine with OHC valvetrain, coil spring suspension, well, and of course, a slightly modified design. The car has had a fairly cheap (albeit expensive for the same class Moskvich-412) and very sportish in nature. VAZ-2101 issued nearly 25 years, in many different designs. So far, the former Soviet Union on the road a lot "kopeika"'s, as a rusty and tidy condition.
